Proceeds from the fund will be used to assist low-income southern Illinois residents with medical costs due to cancer or other childhood diseases not covered though other private and public means. Fund proceeds may also be used to assist patients and their families with the associate expenses resulting from medical treatment such as transportation and lodging.
